Health Interview Surveys Working Group
Health interview surveys are a useful tool for characterizing
health and risky behaviors and the health status of populations.
The need for culturally-appropriate and culturally-sensitive survey
instruments is essential for obtaining relevant and accurate information.
Standardized health interview survey methodologies, including
sampling techniques and survey instruments, enable investigators
to examine trends over time and compare survey results among different
Arctic countries. The Working Group will evaluate health interview
surveys currently in use and monitor and develop plans for the
use of advances in the field of survey design, sampling techniques,
and implementation.
