American Society for Circumpolar Health

American Society for Circumpolar Health

Since 1980 the American Society for Circumpolar Health (ASCH) has sought to improve and maintain the health of the circumpolar people in the United States, and to promote and support the efforts of all circumpolar peoples in the attainment of better health. The ASCH is one of the 5 adhering bodies of the International Union for Circumpolar Health.

Circumpolar is defined as including all Arctic and sub-Arctic areas of the world including the United States which includes all Indigenous Peoples of the circumpolar world and United States.

The ASCH encourages you to organize your research and share it with the rest of the circumpolar health community in preparation for the upcoming International Polar Year, 2007-08. This time around there will be a significant human health component in the research through the Arctic Human Health Initiative.
Learn more about the Arctic Human Health Initiative.

The ASCH wants to join with you to share your research and celebrate the beginning of the International Polar Year by attending the Gateway to the International Polar Year being held at the 13th International Congress on Circumpolar Health (ICCH). The 13th ICCH will be held in Novosibirsk, Siberia, June 12-16, 2006.
