Council Members

The Council Members are selected from each of the five adhering bodies. Two others are selected at large from the General Assembly, which meets during the International Congress held every three years.

Additional Council members are selected by the Affiliated Members:
• International Network for Circumpolar Health Research (INCHR)
• Scientific Committee for Antarctic Research (SCAR)
• Finnish Society of Arctic Medicine and Biology (ATBY)
• Icelandic Society for Arctic Medicine
• Swedish Society for Arctic Medicine

In addition, there is standing invitation to a representative from the World Health Organization (WHO) serves as an official observer.
